The Big Apple Harvest time

A weekend of apples, cider and harvest at Lyne Down, with cider tastings and pressing, orchard walks, storytelling, live music.

Saturday 10th october
Breakfast served from 9am -
12.30 - Hawthorn and Hare Morris
An all - female Morris side bringing energy, tradition and a little wildness to the orchard.
2.30 Whispers in the orchard
Join our story teller Redwych in this journey through the myths and folklore of the orchard.
7pm David Riley live in The Cider Barn
A fantastic voice, a great mix of songs and the sort of performance that gets everyone tapping their feet and dancing.
We will be serving smash burgers and fries from 6pm
Sunday 11th October
Breakfast served from 9am
3.30 Uke can't be serious in The Cider Barn
Fun, feel good music and song from this great ukulele band - perfect for a Sunday afternoon
Food & Drink
Breakfast from 9am, with hot bacon and sausage rolls, croissants, pastries, teas and proper coffee.
From lunchtime, enjoy local butcher’s sausages in rolls, homemade soup with bread, cakes, scones and Winstones ice cream.
On Saturday evening, we’ll be serving wood-fired pizza during David Riley’s live music. Order at the bar and we’ll bring it to your table. Vegetarian and vegan choices and gluten-free bases will be available.
Our licensed bar will be open throughout the weekend and until 11pm on Saturday.
Friday October 30th
A Family Halloween Evening
Join us at Lyne Down on Friday 30 October for a fun, family-friendly Halloween evening in the Cider Barn.
Redwych will be back to share spooky stories and folk tales—atmospheric enough for Halloween, but suitable for younger listeners too.
Come along in fancy dress, with prizes for the best-dressed child and adult. Bring your carved pumpkin lantern too, as there will also be a prize for our favourite.
We’ll be serving wood-fired pizza, warming apple juice and mugs of hot chocolate with marshmallows and plenty of toppings. The licensed bar will also be open for the adults.
